It is a beautiful time at Our Orchard.
Rows of fruit trees are just waiting for the first hint of spring to come to back to life with blossoms and the promise of a bountiful harvest in the fall. As pioneers to the Wenatchee Valley, Nicholson's orchard goes back almost 100 years.
Visiting our orchard should be an enjoyable experience for the whole family. We always have Free Samples of our fresh tree ripe fruit available.
We have an exhibit of farm animals, with baby chickens, rabbits, a miniature donkey and horse, pygmy goats and other lovable characters.
Farm tours will be available on weekends by appointment. These tours give our guests the opportunity to view our fruit ladened trees, ask questions and hear about the different varieties of fruit we grow in Washington State. Be sure to call ahead 509-548-9152 to schedule a tour.
Nothing beats the taste of fresh fruit picked right from the tree. It's sweeter, crisper, more aromatic and more delicious than fruit that has been stored. Over the years, people driving over Blewett Pass (U.S. 97) have stopped by our orchard and asked if they could buy a box or two of our freshly picked fruit. These people came back year after year becoming our first regular customers.
Plan to visit Our Orchard this spring for your pick of fresh Locally Grown fruit!
The tree fruit industry in Washington State covers an area from the Columbia River on the Washington Oregon border north to the Canadian boarder. In spite of the large size of Washington’s tree fruit industry most growers are still small family farms. These family farms combined produce close to 100 million boxes of apples, 33 million boxes of pears, 115,000 tons of fresh cherries, followed by peaches, apricots and nectarines.
